A roundup of the 12 best green paint colors for living rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, and more
Looking for the best green paint color? I’ve got you covered!
Whenever we take on a room makeover the first thing I do is decide on the color.
Paint is the magic rabbit of DIY and can make all the difference in a space.
Usually I draw inspiration from a piece of art or pull out a color from a rug I plan on using.
Our current room makeover is a bit different though…
We will be renovating the Upper Room at our church. The plan for this space is to create a living room type setting for small groups.
The room has not been updated in many, many, many years and we will basically be starting with a blank slate.
So when I was choosing a color scheme I instantly knew I wanted to incorporate green paint somehow. It reminds me of renewal and is very versatile, it really can be used in any space.
While I was on the hunt to find the perfect green paint color I rounded up a bunch of stunning shades. Just in case you too are on the hunt for the right green paint color I thought I would share them all with you.
How To Use Green Paint Colors
Before diving into color options, think about the purpose of the room. Is it a bedroom meant for relaxation, a vibrant living room for socializing, or a productive home office? Understanding the function of the space will help you determine the appropriate color palette.
Where to Use Green Paint
Green paint can be a versatile and refreshing choice for various areas in your home. Its calming and soothing qualities make it a popular color option for creating a serene and natural ambiance.
Here are some ideas on where to use green paint to enhance different spaces:
Consider painting an accent wall in a soft shade of green to bring a sense of tranquility and harmony to your living room. It can serve as a backdrop for artwork or a focal point for the room.
Green paint is also perfect for complementing neutral furniture and incorporating the color in throw pillow patterns.

Green can be a great choice for kitchen cabinets or backsplashes. Opt for shades like mint or sage green to add a fresh and inviting feel to the heart of your home.
If you are nervous about going full on with green cabinets, painting just the upper or lower cabinets is a great alternative.
Create a serene and relaxing ambiance by painting your bedroom walls in soft shades of green. This color is known to promote a sense of calmness and can contribute to a restful sleep environment.
Deep bold shades of green are a great choice if you are wanting a dark and moody bedroom vibe. Dark colors in the bedroom are known to increase a restful sleep too so win win.
Green paint can be a perfect choice for bathrooms, as it can evoke a spa-like atmosphere. Consider painting the walls or adding green accents through accessories like towels or shower curtains.
The color green is associated with productivity and focus. Painting your home office in a shade of green can help create a stimulating environment that promotes concentration and creativity.
